
Sanae Suzuki, DAOM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)® is a nationally certified, California State Board licensed acupuncturist/ herbalist, integrative/ holistic medicine practitioner in the state of California, serving the Westside Los Angeles and the greater L.A. area.
She earned her Bachelor in Philosophy with honor at Nihon University in Tokyo, Japan. Nearly twenty years ago, this is where her education in Eastern Asian Medicine started. She completed her postgraduate studies in Eastern Asian Medicine, received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Emperor’s College, Santa Monica, California. Her focus during the Doctoral studies was the efficacy of acupuncture in treatments of insomnia.
While in the graduate programs, her clinical work and internships included rotations at Venice Family Clinic Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center Chronic Pain Program, Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, and Being Alive! HIV Community Wellness Center.
She values the integrative approach in the treatment. She believes that patients deserve to be treated from allopathic & holistic aspects, nutrition and lifestyle changes to achieve their optimal well-being in every aspect.
She is among the 1% of acupuncturists who hold the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine degree. In addition to her professional degrees, she also has advanced training in mental health and functional medicine, as well as knowledge and experience of facial acupuncture.
She is a board member of Inclusively Well, a non-profit organization that provides holistic care to underserved communities. She maintains her private acupuncture and integrative medicine practice in Westside Los Angeles. She is also a staff acupuncturist at one of the leading Trauma-focused psychiatric recovery centers in the nation.
Sanae speaks Japanese, English, Italian, some Spanish, and is currently learning Arabic.
